My name is Jolene Williams and I am proud to be a counselor at Travis Elementary.

Howdy! I'm Mrs. Williams and I'm so excited to be starting my 23rd year at Travis Elementary. From the time I was a young girl I knew I wanted a career in education and I'm so thankful for this gift. In addition to my love for my job, I  love traveling and spending time with my family. We enjoy hiking in the mountains where it's much cooler. Photography and crafts are also some of my hobbies. If you stop by my office, you can see some of my favorite photos. Most importantly I love to enjoy time with family and friends and laugh! Everyone needs to laugh more.

 

As a counselor, my goal is to assist our students in becoming successful in academic and social settings. During the year, I provide lessons to all three grade levels over topics like career exploration, alcohol/drug awareness and social emotional learning. The Social Emotional topics include - self-regulation, controlling anger, managing stress, self-control, and self-awareness. In addition, I also conduct minute meetings where I do a short questionnaire with the students to get to know them a little better.

 

Monday - Friday  7:30am - 4:15pm
