Travis STUCO Hurricane Relief School Supply Donation Drive

One of the hardest hit places was Lafourche Parish.  With 147 mph winds that blew for nearly eight hours, 75% of the structures in that area were damaged or destroyed.  All of their (number of schools in area) PK-12 schools were heavily impacted by Hurricane Ida.  Mrs. Pierce and Mrs. Lovern, educators at Travis Elementary managed to connect with a school who agreed to partner with other schools in the parish to get help to students in need.
From art supplies to the basics like notebooks, pens, and paper, schools affected by natural disasters need all the help they can get. Providing students with the tools to learn and grow takes a lot of effort, but with the help of teachers, parents, and caring individuals, schools impacted by Hurricane Ida will more quickly recover.

If you would like to make a donation of school supplies to schools affected by this natural disaster, containers have been placed near the front offices of all five campuses to collect your items.  If you would like to make a cash donation, please contact Mrs. Pierce at to make arrangements.
